Paparazzi are photographers that capture pictures of celebrities. Well, in this competition everyone who competes is a celebrity who will not only be captured by amateur student photographers, but will be competing for scholarships, and other prizes. There are 3 preliminary rounds. Ages 11-13, Ages 13-15, Ages 15-18. Most exciting is that the AUDIENCE VOTES will determine which 4 (four) contestants (whether a solo, duet, trio, small group, or large group) from each preliminary round will go to the FINALS! In the finals, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners, from those 12 (twelve) contestants, as well as the 2027 PAPARAZZO, will also be chosen BY THE AUDIENCE VOTES!
The education or vocation scholarship awards are 1st place $1000, 2nd place $600, 3rd place $400, and the opportunity to win $100 cash. The grand prize for the 2027 PAPARAZZO is a scholarship award of $1500, a featured article in a local periodical, an opportunity to work with a professional photographer, the opportunity to win an additional $200 cash, and more!
Restrictions: No aerial acts, use of explosive or combustion devices, no roller blades, roller skates, cycling of any kind, ramps or launching devices, no nudity, no profanity.
